Amy Grant

Amy Grant is not only a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, she is also a storyteller and generous philanthropist. Please join this session to hear the story of her vision to use her Tennessee farm to provide a variety of activities to visiting nonprofit groups—nature retreats, musical rehabilitation for veterans, recreation for disabled and disadvantaged children, and opportunities to plant, grow, and harvest. In 2019, a group of Notre Dame architecture and engineering students spent a semester developing design concepts for transforming her farm into a therapeutic retreat center. Ms Grant will be joined by Aimee Buccellato '00, former associate professor of architecture, and David Go '01, Viola D. Hank professor of aerospace and mechanical engineering, who will describe the studio project entitled "Hidden Trace Farm: Learning from the Landscape."
